While the media has resorted to using the word “apocalyptic,” I’d like to remind people that still, less than 1% of the US population is known to have been infected. Meanwhile Sweden, who has yet to lock down, has an even lower rate of infection than us.
At one point, CDC or WHO experts reported that Covid 19 will not have fully run its course until at least 80% of the population has been infected. Even if we were to quadruple the current rate, that would have the U.S. looking at 2027 before it’s all said and done.
As always, I concede that my math may be flawed and welcome corrections or comments.
