October City Council Update

Council’s next regular  meeting is scheduled for October 13th .  Significant items include the City Manager’s annual performance review,  a grant application to install a round-a-bout at Malfunction Junction and renewal of the CVB contract. See the agenda packet here for complete details.

Results of the September regular meeting are found here. Additionally, per my request, council held a special meeting regarding to Chamber of Commerce’s formation of a PAC. Results of that meeting are posted here. Finally, council held another special meeting regarding another approval of the Mall TIF. Results, including the reasons for my vote, are found here.

As busy as September was, October proves to be even busier. There are a number of opportunities for you to learn about the various candidates this month as well as a number of critical council meetings. It is truly an exciting time in Oak Ridge FOR THE PEOPLE to direct the city’s future. Read why and how in my latest Op Ed Piece posted here.
