The Virginia Creeper Trail is part of the Rails to Trails Conservancy, an initiative that converts abandoned railroad tracks into scenic trail ways. We rode all 34 miles of VCT this weekend and breathtaking doesn’t begin to describe our experience. If you’ve never gone, it’s only a couple hours away from Oak Ridge and well worth the trip. It was, hands down, one of the most amazing adventures of my life.

Trina, you were in the area of where we used to live. Such a beautiful place. We loved it there and wish we could move there again but the lack of medical is a biggie for us. Next time you want to go back to VA check out Grayson Highlands State Park. Its very beautiful. There are wild ponies roaming around. One of our favorite places. http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state-parks/grayson-highlands.shtml#general_information
